I agree, the australorp might go broody, I have one brooding right now, but the leghorns are very unlikely to ever brood.

It should also be mentioned that leaving a bunch of eggs sitting around in a nest will not induce a hen to go broody.

If she just finished brooding a batch of chicks, she probably won't go broody again for several months. It takes a lot out of the hen, since they barely eat or drink while brooding.

It depends. My australorp usually only does one brood a year but it varies by individual. Some birds will raise two or three broods a year. Silkies especially are notorious for finishing up a batch of chicks, laying two or three eggs, and brooding again right away.
