How to keep flies away from run

Make sure it's absolutely 100% impossible for a chicken to contact the fly paper.

I haven't seen it in person, but I've read about the extreme awfulness of the combination.
Oh thanks they're so coated in 2 days ! They weren't sticky anymore. I leaned into one in house it is awful.the fly traps are great stink but they work great.

I also use fly traps .... the stinky bag type. I could tell the difference one hour after I hung one up. Honestly! I have filled six this summer. They aren't too stinky if they aren't disturbed, reasonably priced and really work. I put FSL and Sevin in the house but for smell and mite prevention.

I had a stupid Leghorn get tangled in a fly ribbon twice. She l9st a few feathers. Now I only put them in non-chicken areas.

This summer I tried something recommended by ??? on a thread here, and it's working! Those spruce tree shaped vanilla scented auto 'air fresheners', and they have kept almost all the flies out on my coop and roofed run! I have them hung near doors, where the birds can't get to them, and there's still plenty of fresh non-scented air flow in the coop. I can't deal with perfumed air either, so it's important that the birds don't have issues with it.
