Hi I put my girls food in the run part farthest from the roost on the right. Each time it rains it gets wet. I don't want to put it in there coop. Now I just put the food under the coop in the run. I don't like it their so I am open to any suggestions to keep it dry or where to put it thanks!

Without a covered run, that's going to be hard to accomplish. My run is covered and wide enough so feed only gets wet when it rains and blows sideways. I only put out one days worth each morning, and if it gets wet I just dump it.

Only put a days worth out at a time (it will help with waste and pests). Your run is too small for the treadle feeders, though you could do one of the pvc feeders.

My birds gobble down food that gets a bit of water on it, though.

It would be good under the coop, out of the rain . You could hang a hanging feeder under there

Are you open to possibly going ahead and enclosing the 3 sides immediately under the coop to create an even more protected area where feed could be kept dry? I know you said in your original post you weren't too happy with keeping it under the coop, but realistically that's going to be about the only option to provide a protected place and keep your feed dry

I agree with the PVC suggestions. It does tend to stay drier in a set up like that, and since your tractor has limited space a PVC setup is usually more vertical, so it saves floor space while still holding a good amount of food.

I would also suggest seeing if you could put some sort of "roof" over the end where you said you prefer to have the feeder, so rain isn't falling straight in into the feeder. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, maybe a piece of plywood painted/waterproofed and set at an angle to sheet off rain?

I made this feeder in the hopes the daily Florida rain would stay out of it... Nope when it rains sideways or is windy during the storm the feed is wet and molds quickly. I did attach a cone shaped flexible plastic awning to help inside the coop from the windy rain but honestly we still get wet feed... And we have changed the dirt to construction sand to cut down on muddy issues also.
