How to keep my eggs from freezing?

You could try one of these,

It is a Nest box warmer for rabbit kits and will keep surface temperature between 95 and 100 degrees F, you can add some sand to the nest box to block some of the heat from the eggs.
Note you will need to have a nest box that is around 9" x 17".

That is a pretty cool idea! The example is a bit of an eye sore but I like the concept, can always try to make it more visually appealing. We actually use solar panels(somewhat similar concept but a pump is required) to heat our pool, saving hundreds of dollars each swim season by not using propane.

Could be a good supplement, or secondary system. Instead of pop cans, which are a pain to make up, a sheet of metal roofing works much better and has far greater flat surface area facing and absorbing the sun. A neighbor in town has a 10' by 12' (estimated) solar air heater which raised air temperature to 80* when it is -20 outside. IT is essentially a sheet of metal in a box with a plexiglass window and a fan to circulate heat out. I am designing one for our place as we speak, errr or type...

wyododge - you got my attention with this - my nest boxes are on the outside of the coop and the coop has this wonderful southern exposure - plus I have plenty of scrap metal roofing and 2x4s around and some old windows to boot - can you describe the solar warm air box a little more, especially how you would get the warm air into the boxes? Many thanks in advance. ~Laura
