My last chick hatch I came across the problem of the other unhatched chicks being rolled around and tangled in their partially absorbed yolks. I opened a dead egg and found it totally suffocated with the yolk completely around it's neck. What can I do to prevent that with my current hatch?

Run a 2nd incubator and remove the chicks into it as they hatch? So they don't chill and can still dry out, while not disturbing the other eggs.

I place the eggs on a towel after removing them from the turner. It lets them roll some to hatch but keeps it down to a minimum. Also gives the hatchlings something other than the wire mesh to run around on while the rest hatch.

It makes cleaning the incubator much easier too, it absorbs all the egg shell and gunk that normally falls through. I just wrap all the debris up and chuck the towel when it's all done.
