I put out the live traps last night and caught a skunk. Its in the trap now. Deciding wether to shoot it or let it go. Do they put their hands through chicken wire and rip the chickens apart??

I went out to check the barrel and he was here last night. He left his paw prints up and down the barrel. Trying again tonight.

a 22 rifle. That is the best solution. I have even gone as far as a friend come over and hunt the darn coon down with his coon dogs just to give them practice.

If you do anything to the skunk while in the trap it will spray you, even if you kill it in the trap, I would through a run over it first or a tarp. That smell will never go away. Our dog got sprayed a year or so ago and she still smells like skunk​

Take a couple of sticks and hold an old sheet or tarp in front of you as you approach a trap with a skunk in it. If they spray then they will get the sheet and not you.

I let skunks and opossums go. I know that they're predators but they're mild compared to those dastardly racoons.

I have never had a skunk attack before but someone told me that they suck the blood out of chickens.

weasels are blood suckers , skunks eat more eggs then anything they will eat chicks though
