No watermelon seeds shouldn't be harmful. But watermelon is mostly water and should be considered a treat and not part of the diet. It is not high in nutrients though it does have some.

Hello I'm really sorry I was away from long I'm having my veterinary exams .

I just read the entire post .this chick us kinda weak and having a pale comb

U don't feed him rice cause there's no nutrients in rice

For about month only give boiled egg(not scrambled) only boiled egg .

Where u from in India I live in new Delhi

You should give ur chicken proovi boost veterinary supplements 1-2 drop daily ( it gives awesome results)

Also try give him some grapes , spinach , oats & yoghurt , plenty of clean water ...

When a chick is depressed when they arrive they have poopy butt it will not move they sleep much not active .

A healthy chick is happy and active 24x7

i live in india delhi here i cannot move her out she is a slow growing breed

I've 2 roosters I don't give them Pearl millet until they 5 months old .
Pearl millet required grit for digestion and I don't think on the 8th week they have strong digestive system .i
I only suggest my fellow raisers that only feed things that are easy to digest .colored chicks usually very weak and stunt in growth I've one whose a beautiful rooster now ..
He's stunted growth for about 2 month but regular boiled egg let them grow big faster and healthier ..

I'm.sure u having a ROOSTER

Boiled eggs which is top food for growing teens are best
Boiled or cooked rice ( low in salt) mixed with plain probiotic yoghurt .

Oats and yoghurt
Fruits
Veggies .and lil bit grit is must

My chicken's love watermelon but I give them in moderation ..
They need their feed treats spoil them

One more thing u can notice if ur baby is in stress the poo will be clear like water there no fecal matter in it . as right now its too hot in India its the correct time for chicks ..

Do give him.1-2 min sun bath it will encourage his bones to take vitamin D

please help me i am raising a chick alone
it seems to be well but later he pretends to always be quite and sleeping whenever i saw her she is sleeping and seems to be sad
what are the symptoms of stress in baby chick beside this
she is not digesting the food properly i fed her some grain after few hour she pooped out the grains as they were with some liquid

His food is not digest cause of grains

Its normal popping alot its their habit
If he's alone chick u should give him a toy or something and lots of lots of love

Boost his immune system & kill the bacteria of his gut by feeding garlic (1 chopped clove in water). raw ACV in water .

Stunters are slow but they progress with good diet ..Stunt Is A genetic growth syndrome ..only protein + vitamins will help also as I mentioned I give my stunt chick hard boiled egg nd he responded very well he's growth become faster with boiled egg ..
Half in breakfast
Half in Noon
For about 1 month
Yoy can mix egg with yoghurt
They required diet only at this stage ..

Check him if he have some bacterial infections ? Cause he's comb is pale how's he's poop ?
