How to know when my chickens are going to lay

Thank you, today her comb looks odd colored kind of a white'ish color to it, why is it like that?

Yay! So she is sitting in it, so that means hopefully tomorrow at the latest she will have that egg!!! Can't wait for you!! :D

She laid it around 9 something this morning~ Small little egg :D IT was amazing<3 She didn't sing the egg song though. just like was ''Holy crap I just pooped an egg!'' then she tryed to peck at it I stopped her. Her name is Angel by the way : ) I just had that gut feeling she'd be the first to lay.

YYYYAAAAYYYYY!!!!!! :D So exciting isn't it!!!! Mine is on her fourth egg, and it was big this morning!! So happy for you and Angel!! Woooohooooo!;)

My leghorn has laid 5 days in row, her first was Saturday, I figured I might get one more out of her tomorrow, and then nothing on Friday. When they first start to lay it varies, my mom had some that would lay, and then nothing for two days. On average, I think you should expect 5-6 eggs a week from her! :)

YAY KAY!!!! This is so cute reading from waiting to laying! I swear I could having this same conversation with y'all. For me waiting is like waiting to go into labor. You go to the place, check it out, decide on your place, and pray you have it soon!

I have a little minorca who started laying last Sunday. the first few days it was an every other day egg, but now, its everyday around the same time. Out of 14 she's the only one laying. they were hatched 3/17.

Pretty much one per day, especially in the beginning- you may be hit or miss with her taking a day off. If you have two eggs, someone else is on the job. As to singing, my Bea sang and so did the whole flock when she laid her first egg. Later in the morning Leila laid her first egg in virtual silence. I guess it's a personality thing or else Bea stole all the thunder. Congratulations- may dozens more follow!
