I'm on day 4 of incubation and the humidity has been late 40s to early 50s for the past couple of days. The first couple of days was mid forties.
I have a small janoel 10 incubator, which has a few very small air holes, and no vents that can be adjusted. I have zero water in it because I have used it before dry with about 40 percent humidity with good results. But this time it's higher and Im worried it is too high.
As I said, there are no vents to open. Using a dehumidifier in the room or moving it to another location isn't an option. Is there anything I can put inside the bator to reduce humidity? For example I read that people use pots of salt to absorb excess water in the air in damp homes. Would it be useful and harmless to put some salt in a little container inside the incubator? Or is there another way?
I've already lined the bottom with paper towels and randomly put a dry sponge in there.
The humidity is still 52 right now. Help!
