I need to send a member on here some olive egger eggs to hatch. I have egg cartons and bubble wrap..how else should i wrap them? Should i wrap each egg in bubble wrap and then put them in the carton? Or should i wrap them in the bubble wrap and leave them loose in shredded newspaper?
Everyone has a different approach, me, lots of bubble wrap,1st a 12x12x8 box, add plastic grocery bags made a nest that go's up the sides place a lg square of bubble wrap in the nest, wrap each egg twice in bubble wrap place in nest, gather corners more bags stuffed around so eggs are snug and don't move around, tape box ,done
This is how I do mine. Priority 12 x 12 x 8 box, I line the box with shredded paper on the bottom and up the sides. Use large bubble wrap for my nest in the middle. One layer goes from side to side and then another layer side to side. I bubble wrap each egg with the small bubble wrap and tape like Dipsy (Lisa) does (a burrito like wrap) and then I even wrap the egg lengthwise again with strips of small bubble wrap. Nestle them all in I usually do 12+ but can get 24 in the box without problems. I can get 4 across times 3 rows for 12 and then redo that for the next layer of eggs. I then pack the top with bubble wrap again and shredded paper. Hope it made sense.
humm, I wonder if you can google this? yearly schools have science competitions that involve shipping fragile items to other schools....
Good luck with this!
