How to price chickens for sale.....

I got a Cackle Surprise box about 2 months ago and plan on selling some of the chicks when I know for sure what they are. Some Im going to keep, of course, to raise and sell hatching eggs.
I was wondering how to determine the price to sell some of them, especially if selling as breeding pairs? I have two Golden Appenzeller Spitzenhaubens that Im still deciding whether to keep or sell and not sure how much to price them at? Any help would be appreciated!

If you have facebook, I'd look at what people are selling fancy hatchery chickens for. In WI it's been somewhere between $10-25 per depending on breed, age and sex.

Figure out how much they cost you so far and divide by 2, that is about what they will pay. And they don't want roosters, just hens. Can you tell I am sick of cheapskates?

I know what you mean. Just had to process a bunch of roosters because no one wanted them. Hated doing it. Some I took to aucion and got nearly nothing for them.

Ive spent alot so far just in chick feed. Going thru about 50lbs a week. Need to unload some! They are old enough to start telling whos male or female in most cases. Couple Im not to sure about still!

Look for size and color of combs, size of feet and aggressive behavior.
