My 4-5 month old Sebbi Sebastian is recovering from almost dieing from sand impaction in his gut about a month ago. After many hours of tube feeding and babying him, he is recovering but still can not walk and is slow to gain weight. I am giving him a mix of feeding formula for birds, starter and Flock raiser. He really does not care for the feeding formula so I mix it in because it has a lot of good stuff. I also put some poultry nutri-drench in his water. I take him out for a few hours a day to play on the grass and he will get himself up on his "knees" and stretch out his wings and waddle that way, but no strength to get up and walk. His beak and feet are still pale. I also have started to let him float in a small water trough, supervised, to help build those muscles up. What else can i do for him? How can I get him strongh enough to walk again.

Awwww...poor little guy!
Hope he recovers.
I would put vitamins in his water.
One I would highly recommend which is available via Stombergs is Avian Charge 2000.
Along with other things it contains enzymes, probiotics and 70 chelated minerals and 23 vitamins and antioxidants and its all natural.
Try dry oatmeal and all the greens he will eat.
Offer sliced up apples and carrots (maybe grate the carrots).
Geese love melons too.
Make sure he's warm enough.
Get him in the sunshine daily even if he just sits there.
The sun is very healing.
Best wishes!
