How to raise quail

hi i want to raise some quail and don’t know anything about them can they sleep with the chickens can they free range with the chickens should I buy eggs the incubate or should I buy birds thanks so much for your help

Raising quail is pretty simple, you just pick them up and lift.

No. They cannot go with the chickens. Chickens, in addition to being larger and often more aggressive, carry diseases that don't harm them but will kill your quail. Also, if you free-range quail, they'll escape and never come back. Quail need to be kept in enclosed, rat-proof pens, away from chickens and other birds.

Coturnix quail are your best bet. Look around on this website and on Google for information about how to care for them.
