I am so upset...disproportionately so perhaps! I put a young cockerel in the crock pot this morning to cook all day for dinner tonight. For some reason, it was not done after 6 hours of cooking on low!

I just don't understand what went wrong, this is a crock pot that I use all the time and I know that the setting I used should have had that bird perfectly done for dinner time. It was the one thing I was looking forward to going right all day and even that was a total failure! My husband popped it in the oven to finish, but not before ordering pizza (which, ironically, didn't come until about a minute and a half after the chicken was done). The current plan is to have it tomorrow night for dinner, but I'm terrified that after reheating it will by dry. Any suggestions on how to reheat a whole roast chicken without overcooking it and drying it out?

Any drippings left in the crock pot? Wrap the chicken in foil, pour on the drippings and reheat for tomorrow.
