I had a duck that developed a turned out foot. She was getting along ok but then was attacked by an unknown creature. She was the only survivor. I have had her in a brooder box for months now & she’s gotten back to about her previous activity level (she can walk but with difficulty). Today I released her in the chicken run & she was happy to get in/out of her little pool but still struggles to get around very well. The leg seems less stable from the area it meets the body (like the hip on a human) down to the turned out foot. I have ordered a splint but it didn’t work (I couldn’t attach it to the leg). I am very inexperienced with ducks & repairing these sorts of injuries. Does anyone have any suggestions? I will try to post a few stills from a video of her from this morning. She moves the leg forward but it doesn’t hold weight, it collapses outwards. This has been the case with her since very early as a duckling. I suspect my inexperience has caused this & would love to be able to help her more.

I don't really know how too help. Hope she gets better with the help of others on here.
What feed is she on? And if you are giving her supplements which ones? And for how long?
