I imagine the galvanization is no thicker/deeper on heavier wire.
Tho I have never had any direct experience with galvanization,
anodization depth is the same regardless of material thickness.

Anodization depth is determined by coulombs passed through the anode. As you would need to hit a certain fixed voltage as a minimum, time the current is applied determines the thickness
