I have 12 eggs that were shipped from two hours away. They did not go on a plane, they were only in mail trucks. It took two days for them to get here. I have them sitting in a carton now with the lid open to settle....how should I go about incubating these? In the carton or on their sides? Turning during the first 7 days or no turning?

Have you candled them to see how sloshed they are?

The closer the shipping the better the hatch usually.

Maybe start incubating in the carton until you can see how the air cells are. Then decide if you should lay them down.

i can never see air cells on fresh eggs....so these are no different. They just look like clear eggs to me, I see the yolk but that’s it!
