How to set this trap?

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to set this trap. I watched videos and looked up the instruction manual. Can someone explain very clearly what to do? I didn’t post this in the predator section because I’m trying to catch a barn cat. Thanks!

Push back 'square' frame at front of trap and lift the solid door. There should be a mechanism to hold it up and attach to the treadle in the trap. Hope that this helps.

I looked at it, but I'm sorry to say it still doesn't make sense.

I can get the trigger plate up, but I don’t see how the cat would trigger it, unless you flipped the trap over so the handle is underneath…

What happens if you lift the handle above the label? When the cat steps on the metal plate inside, the door should drop, closing the cat inside.

Unhook that hook the red arrow is pointing to.
Look at the blue arrows. Put that little hook in that hole so it latches around that little bar piece.
