how to stop diarrhea!!!!!!!

I have a hen that has been having loose poop but this morning when I went into the hen house it was all over the roost and the floor she also has it all over her feathers in the back I have removed her from the flock and I will be cleaning her up . What should I be feeding her and should I keep her seperated from the rest until this clears up?? This was a serious amount of diarrhea she doesn't act sick and is laying but I haven't been eating her eggs, not sure what is wrong.

you'll need to tell us what she has been eating. Do you free range her? When was the last time she was wormed? How old is she? Can you give us a little more history?

she free ranges part of the day and I feed organic crumbles she is 7 months old and has never been wormed, wouldn't I see worms in her poop I checked it out today and it is just brown and runny. I looked her all over she looks healthy and is eating good. I have seven hens maybe I should worm all of them???

You really wont see worms until the bird is completely infested. Usually you will get chocolately brown runny poop that smells pretty bad. If you are going to treat them, yes, treat them all. Make sure you offer lots of fresh water to keep her hydrated. Worms is the only idea i have for you, sorry.

I have a hen that was "throwing up" and diarrhea. I gave her some steaped garlic and that seemed to helped her pretty fast. Got this remedy here on backyard chickens. After a few days I started her on PenG for bumble foot. I really think her problem was the staph infection but the garlic helped her GI tract. I used bread initially to soak up the steaped liquid and then ended up putting it in her food chunks and all.

Does your hen have black scabs on her feet?

I blogged on this the other day but no one was really able to help me get a resolution. My SILKIES eat only organic pellets,ACV in water everyday,and a dwarf apple banana grown locally that we buy at market. My SILKIES have chocolately brown poop that smells bad. I am now concerned. My Silkies who are in a brooder and will be 7 weeks old tomorrow might have worms somehow?! Someone please help us. Mine appear normal ,appetites good. Would it be a good idea to hand feed a piece of garlic?
My girls are watched over and cleaned up after every 2 hours approximately and I wash my hands more than I can explain.Water supply seems ok, ACV added. I noticed this poop change as soon as we had to switch from mash to pellets . It was organic mash from a supplier I purchased thru MPC and due to costs to ship here to Hawaii I had to look close by and ended up ordering feed from farm supply store in town and it is organic starter /grower.A different supplier.
I have expressed my concerns and I need to take constructive action. I can not wait for it to (go away) Someone with poultry expertise please help. These are my girls and I need to help them.

You are both using organic food, how interesting. Wonder if there is a relation between the organic food and the loose bowels. I dont know much about organic foods, maybe someone else can shed some light on this. I would not think that 7 week old babies in a brooder would have worms.

Chick-lit: Are you also putting ACV in your water also? maybe that is making the crop contents too acidic and creating the brown runny bowels.
