Hi poultry lovers!

I have one corner of my coop, particularly the corner laying box, where mosquitoes just hang out in mass. The coop is wood, I stained it last year, which I thought would help some. I think it did a little but it's getting into summertime and the mosquitoes are going strong in that corner. I heard that mixing pinesol with water (50/50ish) would help. When I spray it in there it works for a day or two and they just seem to come back.

Does anybody know any real way to stop mosquitoes? Is there such a thing as a successful mosquito trap?

I will share this for flies: There is a trap that I hang under my little coop that works great for flies. You put water and the smelly chemical pouch that comes with it and then you turn it back over. As it hangs, there is a cone in the middle where flies can go in but they can't get back out.

Yes, mosquito barrier. It's concentrated garlic juice and works very well. I use it on my yard with no worries about my dogs or birds. You can also safely use permethrin around your flock

Cool thanks! Is the permethrin dangerous at all to the girls?

I found both on ebay. About how long will the mosquito barrier last before you have to spray it again?
