How to stop our chickens from eating the eggs?

You can try blowing out the egg contents of several eggs and injecting dish soap or hot mustard in them and place them in the nest boxes along with some fake eggs. If that doesn't work, you can try roll away nest boxes.
What are you feeding your flock? Oftentimes, a too low protein diet encourages egg eating.

Welcome to BYC! How often do you gather the eggs? It usually starts with an opportunistic event. An egg gets broken and someone partakes and invites their friends to partake also.
Make sure they have oyster shell available for their health and for strong egg shells.
Feed a 18% to 20% protein food.
Get roll out nest boxes.

We feed high protein an they have oyster shells available everyday. Will try the egg blow out an hot mustard. I gather every 15 to 20 minutes starting at 730am. But can't do that every day, if I miss doing it like on Sunday they definitely eat whatever is laid during church time. Hope your suggestions work, thanks so much. Sincerely, Laura DeLuca
