How to Tell a Fertile vs INfertile Egg (Pictures)

Pics
So the bullseye is the white dot inside of the ring? Not the ring itself?

I see the ring in my eggs but not a ring with a white dot in it, so unless I have some kinda "ninja" type rooster that has no long tail feathers, spurs, larger comb, crows, or has been witnessed mounting any of the girls, the only other explanation is there is a rooster making his rounds around the neighborhood, but then he would have to get over a 7ft high fence and then back out again.

None of the girls are missing any saddle or neck feathers either so who ever is giving them the business is being gentle.

Thanks,
Whitey

Im so glad I found this thread.

I was thinking my rooster was a slacker...

Anyway, I think he's been doing his job, am I right? Is it Fertile?

Now if my bantam cochin hens would get with it, now they are being slackers. They will be a year in Feb... can I say slackers!

Not true.
I just had some hatch this week that were in the fridge for a few days.
I knew they were fertile but wasn't planning on doing a hatch, changed my mind and pulled some from the fridge and incubated them.
They hatched last week and I have 13 new chicks that all started out in the fridge.

I have hatched one refrigerated egg, or rather, my broody did. Was in the fridge overnight when I needed to put another egg under a girl who had only one. Needed a blue one so I could easily tell them apart and took Charlotte's egg from the fridge, gradually warmed it up and place it underneath Olivia.

I'll try to post a picture when I get home, but I had an egg this AM that sure looked like it was fertilized. Perplexing, because we have no rooster (have a 15 week old EE that might, but if it/he/she is, is not yet mature enough....I think). Last time the hens were near a rooster was 4 or 5 weeks ago before we adopted them. How long will a hen remain fertilized from a rooster? How many eggs after that can be fertilized?
