how to tell if egg in incy is good or bad

we have tried to candle and can not tell if they are good or not

now i was told that you can do a water test on them to tell if they are rotten

now my ? is can you do the water test on eggs that are in the incy if you are no good at candeling or will that mess it up all together ??

No, don't take them out and put them in water!!! That will definitely ruin them! The water test is jsut to determine if eggs you are eating are old or not. If you aren't having any luck candling just wait it out. If an egg is very bad you will know....it will stink like crazy. Good luck and

How long have they been in the incubator and what are you using to candle?
I wait till 7 days on white eggs, 14 on dark, use a 100wt bulb in a coffee can with hole cut in lid. Check out the sticky's in the hatching section and do NOT put them in water. If there are no cracks and no strange odor you don't have any problems letting them go the full 21 plus 4 and you will not have an egg explode. Good luck!

Ok now this is our first time and what do you mean by EXPLODE
they are sitting on top of my dresser first off
2nd they are due to hatch tomorrow
3rd how do you keep the humidity up i keep hearng how that is hard all you need to do is keep the water in the pan RIGHT? how do you tell if it is up or down ?
4th they are on a turner should i take them out of it if they are ready to hatch in the next couple days ??

i say take all the eggs out of the turner and just let them lay on their sides in the incubator. you should stop turning 3 days before they are due to hatch, and this late in incubation you wouldn't be able to see much by candling. just a dark blob with an air sack. i think they should be fine, dont sweat it!
