WELCOME! Name them all the same name.![]()
Thanks for your welcome! Yeah, that's what I'm doing so far, but... it would be fun to be able to call over a particular hen. Right now they ALL come when I call. (I have a deaf dog, so maybe that's why I want the hens to respond to a name?) AND, I've been collecting hen names and can't use them! lolWELCOME! Name them all the same name.![]()
Youre welcome! I have some Blue Cochin Bantams that I tell apart by the pattern on their beak.Yes, honestly that is the only place there's a difference, but two are similar, and the other two are similar so it's hard to spot the differences, especially if they are moving. I think using leg bands is going to be my solution. I'll check Tractor Supply tomorrow and see what they have in stock. Thanks for your answer!
Any particular reason why? I have three black Australorps and unless I actually pick them up can't tell them apart. Their combs, wattles, body shape, etc. all looks the same. The only way I can tell is by looking at their beaks and feet.I really don't want to use leg bands or zip ties, but other responders mentioned zip ties and leg bands so maybe it would be okay.
Hi there!Hi again![]()
