but best ever solution for an acute sinusitis or infection situation, or a chronic low grade infection Sinus Buster. walgreens carries it, or you can order it on-line. capsicum sinus spray. basically it's pepper spray for your sinuses... now I know that sounds like a REALLY bad idea, but the capsicum increases circulation, decreases swelling, and makes endorphins so there's a nice little buzz to go with it... ok not a very big buzz. but hey, endorphins!

fair warning, spray one nostril and then immediately do the other - because if you don't just commit and do it you might not do the second side. it's chillie-pepper type hot, and it will make your eyes cross for about 10 or 15 seconds until the endorphins kick in.

ok, so you're thinking I'm nuts.
that may be true, but using sinus buster isn't proof.

I had a chronic low grade sinus inflamation and infection that the doc *swore* I didn't have. however, it is NOT supposed to smell like a swamp when you sneeze. and I sneezed often and it was definitely swampish. for years. the docs didn't think there was anything to do about it. and *nothing* I had tried helped. until I used the sinus buster spray daily for a month. no more sinus issues, no more swamp. radically reduced sinus headaches (still get one occasionally.) and I can actually breathe. life is good.

and I'm guessing you won't be able to get your guy to use it... but hey, just in case... Sinus Buster.

I get a sinus infection, I get pinkeye and am draining neon green yellow snot from my eyes. True infection, I MUST take antibiotics. Irritation - flush, allergy meds, Mucinex and the baby nose sucker outter deal. It HURTS to blow my nose, grrr.
