How to treat Bumblefoot without cutting??

Okay cool, I picked a little further just in case, I was able to get a little white stuff out, but she was getting really uncomfortable. I still sprayed some Vetericyn and put a dab of neosporin on and wrapped it. I’ll check it tomorrow. Her little pad was nice and hot, so I’ll be interested in what it looked like tomorrow. Thanks for all your help! I’ll be posting if I need more help

I use some hot water add some Oregano oil ( oregano works for staphylococcus) and some coconut oil or any oil avail
And soak the foot skin become soft and then simply pull it

Once the scab out pour Oral Baytril on wound and apply silver Sulfadiazine Ointment repeat this process in every Bandaging this is my own way treating bumblefoot my boys healed fast
Solid coconut oil, unrefined, will tx staph as well. What I'm using (liquid/MCT) has the lauric acid in it, but not to the higher amt in unrefined that is needed for staph, so thanks for clarifying the bacteria, that's important to know. In refined MCT, the lauric acid is put back in primarily into cooking oils bc it's non-stick. (My dentist loves my teeth). So the liquid would be a good preventative but not tx. Thanks!

There's one in every crowd. Fortunately that seems to have been a passing phase-that or he's too busy licking the coconut oil from his own feet.:plbb
Oh, I must get me some guineas. Immediately.
And I respect your strategy . Maybe the next time I have an aggressive rooster I should just slather some cake frosting on the side of the coop. The DO have tiny brains. Maybe they just need some redirection and incentive :lau:lau :lau

 In all honesty, I'm not sure what worked- I'm finding guinea rearing abt like child-rearing-no owner's manual but lots of anecdotal advice-boredom, seeking attention-toys &more 1 on 1. Toys-meh. They like the branch I installed in the brooder & neck rubs. Being goosed in the tail feathers may have been just as effective. (A slight nudge & he jumps). But I have to admit, they are a source of entertainment!

One foot seems totally healed, the other one took a little longer heal up (still had a tiny hole with wet bloody ooze) after a fresh bandage, the next day it had come off and when I looked, it looked like it had finally healed. She is no longer limping, but one thing I notice now is that she’s is, more often than not, laying down. Should I be concerned? I have new babies in the flock, so I haven’t let them out of the run to free range in the yard. I don’t know if she’s just laying because she’s comfy or not feeling well... should I add something to the water to boost her immune system, that will be safe for the flock? Sorry for all the questions, I just don’t want to ignore something that could potentially be a symptom.
