I am worried about my roosters waddles dipping in their bowl in these minus temps. Their heads are too big to use one of the standard lip waterers. Anyone have any clever solutions? Thanks

Poultry nipples sounds like the best option left. You can buy them from most hatcheries, Ebay, and Amazon. You want the screw in ones (red) not the pop in ones (yellow) to prevent leaks.

I've used the small waterers that we usually use in brooders for roosters with large wattles. The dish is narrow enough that the wattles stay outside and dry.
