How too keep humidity stable in a house with low humidity?

I was reading about hatching eggs, and they said getting the heat right is more important than the humidity. I just had 8/10 shipped chicken eggs hatch at around 50% humidity.

On dry hatching, as some still air people do,(not me) I have had better luck with that in a smaller container, than a big one. Also in one of my first homemade incubators, I had alot of humidity, and 6 eggs. The only egg I candled was a white one, because I could see in it. I candled that egg so much I thought the ones I didn't candle would do better, but the over-candled egg was the only one that hatched, because it had less moisture.

How did you do this as mine is the same I’ve used sponges but can’t add water anywhere. I have two air vents but scared to close incase not enough oxygen for the eggs. I’m only on day 5 but struggled to keep humidity above 30.0% worried about when lock down comes around. I ordered a mist maker and hopefully that will increase it a bit but still need to make a decision what to do for lockdown or may have to build another incubator.
I put a pot full of water on the woodstove, while it's burning to create a humid house. I also have a towel on my incubator.
Mine only has 1 ventilation hole on the side.

Nice. I dont have very much luck with quail. Could you update how the mist maker helps?
Mist maker gets the humidity up in minutes and last a good hour, quickly increased 20% in minutes. However after 65% humidity I turned it off and check every few hours. Next batch I’ll see if i can get it to turn On/off automatically with a relay. Overall i recomend it to increase humidity, for £5 on eBay it does the job
