How was this picture made?

I have 10 acres of forest on the back side of my property, that's,adjacent to 130K of national forest...I see those mushrooms all the time and eat like 15 lbs/month when available. The poisonous ones that look somewhat similar are more of a peach/orange color and the edge of the caps are almost always thin like a razor's edge...those in the pics appear rounded over like your ear lobe for instance.

There's a book,The Audubon Field Guide to North-American Mushrooms,Slimes and Molds it's a burgundy-covered soft-bound book that will fit in a hiker's daypack. This particular book has excellent line illustrations and realistic color plates of edible, poisonous medicinal and hallucinaegenic mushrooms and IS THE definitive guide for North America.

If there's shiitakes growing there, oyster mushrooms should be close by and if you're lucky...chanterelles!!! I've had the fortune to have all three popping up within a mile from my back door and my chickens love them shrooms!

All y'all take care!
