How was your day today?

My day was pretty good. My chick babies are almost hens and roosters 😢 but it’s ok there is just as much excitement when they can lay eggs, breed and such! I don’t follow whatever sport everyone is talking about nor am I American lol. I thought I would share some pictures of my silkie cutie named Peaches at 3 months old. Such a fluff ball!

Thanks for starting this thread! Yesterday was spent trying to keep chicks and hens alive in this heat (same for today... 100+ degree weather) and Zoom work meetings. Same today, along with making some masks to give away and a Zoom birthday party tonight.

Hope everyone's having an awesome day and staying cool if it's hot where you are :)
I'm jealous of your masks! I made some but mine look so plain; yours are so pretty as well as functional!

Well one thing about silkies, no matter how old they get they still look like fluffy babies! 😍 Yours are so adorable!

@Chick_Maelle, you are probably better off NOT following baseball, as it seems to be frustrating many of us these days!! I grew up watching baseball on TV with my mom because Dad wasn't interested in sports. A few years ago, a donkey fractured my pelvis and I had LOTS of time to watch TV, since I couldn't walk. Baseball got me through a lot of boring days and nights.

Thanks for sharing the photos of Peaches. She is a doll!!

Regarding masks, a friend made mine -- the outside is a print with chickens on it, and the lining is a print of chicken wire. They love it at the feed store!

It is in the high 90s here today, so I'm glad I made my trip into town early this morning. I try to go just once a week, more often only if I forget something important (Yeah, you'd think I'd remember bread when I'm planning on sandwiches.).

The birds have their electrolytes, and I THINK it looks like I'm actually going to get to see the Cubbies tonight. A small glass of peach wine will go great with the game.

Looking forward to hearing about everyone else's day!

Oh peaches, what an adorable ball of floof. I can't wait till my girls get all poofed.

my day, was lovely, first time since the UK lockdown I met with my mum and sister in a local restaurant for lunch. I had been shielding for 5 months and finally for the all clear from the hospital to get back into society, So we celebrated with an Egg's Benedict :)

Thank you for your good words! I'm sure yours look great though! PM me if you're interested in the free pattern I use (and tweaked). I make them super bright and with bold prints because we might as well turn them into fashion statements if we're going to be wearing them awhile lol. I'd like to see ones that give me a beautiful complexion, perfect lipstick, and no wrinkles printed on them so that the lower half of my face looks amazing 😆

My day was pretty good. I learned that after spending decades worrying that I would go into anaphylactic shock from a bee or wasp sting, that I have apparently, somehow, outgrown my childhood sensitivity.

I was pulling an egg out from behind a hay bale (Marietta's favorite place to lay) and thought I pricked my arm on a stick or something else sharp. I have seen wasps in the shed before but wasn't thinking about that -- until a bit later when my arm turned red and began swell, just like anybody else's!!

Some white vinegar, a baking soda paste and a little anti-itch cream, and I was fine!!

And, I cleaned up most of the mess left behind from the derecho that blew through here recently! Compared to others in Iowa, and those of you in the hurricane paths, I have nothing to complain about.

Hope everyone is safe and well!
