@ChocolateMouse Great job! Long gardening days are tough for me. But it’s nice that you got to play games with friends! What games do you play?

Today I had a picnic with friends and cleaned the coop/run for the chicks I spent a lot of time with them today haha

I love long gardening days. Less time to focus on anything but greenery.

We have occasionally short sessions of first person shooters. Lately it's been Left for Dead, but Orion Prelude has been a big hit too and is only, like, $1 on Steam.

The game I have to reinstall is ARK: Survival Evolved. :T It's 108gb. It's gonna be running all night long.

Well, they're kind of like Halo and Minecraft I guess if I wanted to compare them to something very mainstream. But cooperative instead of competitive. They're very fun. Shoot zombies together, shoot dinosaurs together, and punch trees to build houses and THEN shoot dinosaurs together respectively. XD

@eggsandhens,, sounds like we both had a good night because the Cubs won Tuesday, too. Yesterday's doubleheader was on ESPN, but blacked out here. Grrrr.

Wednesday, I made a trip into town to grab feed and groceries, and spent a beautiful, warm, sunny, breezy afternoon cleaning muck out of one of the duck shelters and carting it back to the compost area.

Drought this summer took its toll on my garden, but it sounds like ChocolateMouse was more successful!

But, a good friend came out for dinner, and brought homemade peach cobbler. Another good, uneventful day. How was everyone else's?

There's nothing wrong with a good, boring day! None of the goats got their heads stuck in the fence, none of the poultry got in any trouble, the dog didn't irritate the cat too much.

I sorted through the rocks I picked last week on my trip to the North Shore of Lake Superior. My sister and I made the trip to Minnesota together, and I am planning to make a present for her with some of the rocks and my belief that I am crafty.

And, I am getting to watch the Cubs on TV, Since WGN doesn't carry the games anymore, my chances to watch the Cubbies are few and far between. It's a good day!!

Cubs!...Yankees fan here.; but I feel your pain. South Carolina nets works always have the Braves playing and watching a Yankees game is a hit and miss in these parts.
You'll have to share a pic of what you craft out of your rocks....sounds interesting!

@Callendar Girl that sounds like a “great” way to spend a warm and breezy day, I’m sorry you had to clean out the duck shelter. At least you got to end the day seeing a friend and having homemade peach cobbler

@MrFluffyandGirls I agree with you, our networks here wonky. Half the time on ESPN I’m watching a different game than what said was playing. Tv these days.

Our nightshades have a lot of cracking and the squash bugs are rough but it's been alright. We don't really have much drought here 'cause we live on Lake Erie. It makes its own watershed. I know it's rough elsewhere. Is your garden small enough/water efficient enough to water? We water about <10 times a year.
