what in the world kind of snake is that... so small and dark in the box. doesnt look at all as big as it turned out to be.. wow.. yeah they would have heard me scream in the next county....

That's a harmless gray rat snake. Good for keeping mice and rats away. Too bad you killed it.

Is there a problem with that type of snake eating eggs? I would have rather seen it relocated so it could do work for you by hunting down the mice in your barn.. which given the size it was doing very well...
