Although I've been in this forum a while, I never made myself a proper introduction! I'm TheGreatPapyrus (Sorry I'm uncomftorable about giving details about myself). I'm under 19 yrs old, and enjoy wasting precious moments of my life reading about chickens. I currently have no chickens, but I'm planning on it this summer. The BYC community has some of the nicest people I've met, and I think BYC is great.

You may want to research fermenting their feed too.
It is easy and adds wonderful benefits for a flock.
I am a firm believer in preventative care.

Welcome to BYC, a lot of new members don't have chickens yet. They come to learn about them first. Have you explored the Learning Center, lots of great info in one place.
