Looked at some photos of Australorp chicks and they do favor her as well. No idea on types of eggs. A lady donated the eggs to my daughters teacher but didn't say what kinds they were. My daughter does know hers was brown.It may also be an Australorp...you will be able to tell for sure in a few weeks, it does look kind of like a barred rock as well, does your daughter know what colored egg she hatched? Or better, what type?
