from South Mississippi. I used to live in the Paduca area and I remember how bad I missed my seafood!! It was a great area with great folks. I remember when I was snowed in over christmas, how far I felt from home. I'll be happy to send you some oysters! Surely it can be done! Be glad to help!!

Thanks for all the kind welcomes. DH picked up 5 more chicks.

They are golden comet mixes. He also got another dozen hatching eggs from the same guy so I guess we'll have the bator going in another week or so. We have 19 chicks in the brooder box. They are all near the same age and funny to watch. No foal yet but things are looking good.

The wind blew a heavy board off the fence and it fell on one of my game hens.

It could have killed her. Made a big cut across her back and cut some feathers off. She was sore but I prayed for her and she is doing fine now.

I kept her inside in a big tote for a couple of days and gave her antibiotic in her water.
