Sounds like Mine!!

Mine keep looking out the coop door and seeing nothing but a wall of white. We got 2 feet and still coming down. Most we have seen here in the panhandle for over 10 years!
DH was a sweetie and trudged throught the snow to fill their water and feeders this morning.

By the end of December last year, we were literally buried under 6+ feet of total snow accumulation. The girls never broke their stride then and this year is the same way. Though we've had no where near as much total snowfall this year as last, they all seem to be pretty much indifferent to the whole affair. Probably because the older birds have always known snow from their first winter, and the younger girls take their cues from them. It just means a bit of extra scratching to get to the few rare goodies buried under all of that white!

DH built a new tarp roof over the scratch yard this year. Thank heavens! Last year liked to just about kill me with all the shaking off of snow, and then to have to shovel it all out of their scratch yard. That was the winter that seemed like it would never end! This year is very tame in comparison. I think we've gotten a grand total of maybe 8 inches from only 2 snowfalls since right around Thanksgiving weekend. And it completely melted in between dumping's.

They say that we're going to have a fairly mild winter this year. Looks like all of you folks along the east coast are getting more than your fair share! And I want some of that back please! I miss my deep beautiful snow! It just won't be the same for Christmas without it!

My 10-month old Welsummers are all tucked up in the coop. We have about 2 feet of snow here in mid-Delaware. Judging from the footprints, one came out and did one walk around about in the (covered) outside run, then back in the pop door and in they stayed for the day! The run is covered, but we stil got a little blow-in -- maybe a 1/2 inch.

Hey guys, we've got 2 feet easy here in Martinsburg. Here's some pics
