Howdy from TX

:celebrate We are so very happy you’re here!! I love the names. As far as them being male, you could always butcher the boys at 16 weeks. Your local butcher shop will probably do it if you cannot.
We do love pictures here at BYC. Your setup, your animals, and your garden! We even have canning and food threads! Look around, and see the many roosts this site offers!

:frowHowdy to you too!
It always seems like the ones I really want to keep are the ones ultimately bound for the freezer. I've got a couple of huge cockerel heading to "freezer camp" later today. I need to weigh those giants, they do like their feed! Hopefully you can swap a cockerel/pullet from another adopter from school. Good luck on your adventure.

Hi! :frow Welcome to BYC! Even if they are all cockerels, they have stolen your heart and you are now a helpless captive of the chicken world, like the rest of us. I'm happy you have a place for them to go, and happier still that you will seek out some pullets to replace them. BTW, we were all convinced my chick was an Absalom, but I have had to change her name to Abby, so you never know. :fl
