Most will say the rule of thumb is chicks should only have their crumbles for the first six weeks of their lives.Thank you!! Oh! when can I start offering treats like that?
I know the feeling but wait. If it's warm (where are you located?), you can take them outside on the dry grass/ground, in a cage, in a non windy area. Depending on your soil type, you may need to supply a little chick grit.Thank you!! Oh! when can I start offering treats like that?
Ah yes, chicken math strikes again! I am in the midst of it again myself lolGreetings & Salutations. Welcome sleepymssky.
Pleased you joined our community. A wonderful place to Learn and have Fun.
Enjoy your chicks, they will become more than 4, chicken math.
I wish I had a bigger coop to begin but of course, I was only going to have so many chickens. Well that first coop was full by the end of the first summer. Our second coop, built a year later is 8'x8'x9' and is already full. I'm going to need to expand the first coop or build another (shhh, don't tell my husband). Oh and Plenty of ventilation.
So, do you expand/build onto an existing coop? Or build a new one?Ah yes, chicken math strikes again! I am in the midst of it again myself lol![]()
I will likely expand my existing coup. They are rarely in there except to lay or roost. I may see how it goes then go from there! A 4x8 footprint would be enough if I need to expand. I am a jack of all trades and a master of none! So it won`t be a problem! So, do you expand/build onto an existing coop? Or build a new one?
