I'm Asa, and I am in Northern Caliornia! I am a born and raised mountain farmgirl ❤ I took a few years off to do some traveling, met my husband along the way, and now we are settling down on the family farm to raise our little boy among the critters!

We have just about every manner of animal one can have without a permit in this state, but I am pretty thoroughly obsessed with my dinosaurs!

We currently have:
A Delaware roo over two Icelandic hens...
A hen pen with one Opal Legbar, two Blue Partridge Brahmas, one Silverudds, and two blue and red/cream coloured Silkie bantams (I call them my Blue Pen )...
A Silkie bantam group with an adult roo and seven juvenile birds (all white, except one red and black)...
A bachelor pen of six young Sebright x Japanese x probably something else (y'all, they have THE cutest little crows on Earth ❤)...
Two rescued roos (we believe one is a Black Australorp and one is a Cream Legbar) in quarantine...
Two Khaki Campbell ducks with what I believe are two crested Swedish blue ducks (unsure of the sexes on them yet!)...
And finally, our grow-out chick pen is currently comprised of two Araucana/Ameraucana/EE/whatever pullets, two blue unknown bantams, one gold Sebright, three RIR pullets, two unknown gold and black bantams, and four Frizzle bantams (two white, two black)...

Did you lose count? Me too LOL
I'll be posting a photo thread, and posting my unknown bantams in the "what breed/sex is this" area! I'm excited to join in a community of fellow chicken fans!

Thanks for the welcomes, everyone!

WELCOME! Love your boy in your Avvy!

Thank you... that was my amazing boy, Theo. In a cruel twist of fate, we lost him suddenly last week :( I am now desperately hoping I can get some chicks hatched from the only hen that was laying in his pen (the others are coming up on point-of-lay age). What is the breed of your gorgeous bird there?

Hello and welcome to BYC! :welcome
