Howdy Y'all

Welcome aboard Ben! I'm not actually "chicken obsessed" either, but what do ya do?

Glad to have you join us.
BTW, I see you list your flock as including 41 peacocks! I'd like to see if I could arrange for you to talk to my wife about how great it is having that many peafowl. So far, she is holding pretty firmly at all the way to a grand total limit of ZERO peacocks!

Chicken obsessed....no, Peacock obsessed....maybe.

I love my Peas, got the first pair 20 years ago and they really are like potato chips. I have 7 different colors and 4 different patterns now. They don't make a peep from Sept. thru March and by now I don't even notice the cacophony during breeding season unless I am standing smack in the middle of the barn when they all let loose. And my son loves the HUGE "dippy eggs" .

Just tell your wife you are getting her some yard jewelry!

Currently none. hopefully begin building up a flock again later this summer after a potential cross country move. Will be going after mostly dual purpose birds. Considering Barred Rocks and New Hampshires. But will definitely add some fancy birds for some flair to the flock. I am a sucker for the fancy birds, but want my flock to earn their keep. So I always have some heavy bodied good egg layers to carry the flock and pay the way for the fancy breeds. Have had several silver Pheonix in the past. Have been looking at Sumatras and the other color phases of Pheonix as well as some of the other exotic breeds

Those birds you posted are beautiful! Do you ever sell any hatching eggs from your flock?

I do sell some hatching eggs each year. This past summer I shipped 6 to CA and that member got 4 to hatch under a broody chicken, I also shipped 6 to KS, only 1 of those hatched and they were in an incubator. Where abouts are you located? Shipping can be hard on hatching eggs, won't lie to you about that, but it can be done.
