excellent decision - I lurked for 8 mos. because I didn't know how to use a computer, and also couldn't believe this great website was gratis.

Oh I guess I should also say something about myself.

I'm doing the semi-urban backyard chicken thing. I have three hens - a Buff Orpington, a Barred Rock, and an Easter Egger. The Easter Egger has not yet laid an egg, to the disappointment of my spouse ("She's a freeloader!" he says.) I got everyone in April 2018 and so far it's going pretty OK!

I also have three dogs and am an avid gardener.
