Thanks, all. I did pop for an Eglu and hope to get it put together soon. I read about the difficulty introducing new hens in an established coop/colony? I thought I would start with two and add some later (I hear they multiply ;-) but wonder if I should start with 3-4 and not plan on introducing any more.

I think if you get all your females at the same time/maybe from same place - they will only have to go through new introductions once. If you buy just a couple at a time, you will have to introduce them more often.

"All at the same time" will eliminate many problems.
