Cute! And I have a chicken named Braveheart too!Um, you are aware that very few of us have "a chicken" (singular), right?
I have ten, but I'm not going to give the story for all of them. Here are a few choice selections.
Braveheart: One of the first batch I bought in April last year at a feed store. While all the other chicks were running around when I put my hand down in the bin, she ran right up and jumped in it. Ever since then whenever anything new has been introduced she is usually the first to investigate.
ObLaDi and ObLaDa: Identical for the first 14 weeks of their life (and they usually hung out together as well) they finally started showing some differences but I still wanted to give them paired names as I had been calling both of them "The Twins" collectively for over three months. Well inspiration came to me when I was building their new coop and the Beatles song came on the radio ("In a couple of years, they had built their home sweet home").
Glinda: A Black Australorp. All my black chickens get named after devils, demons, witches and so on. Glinda is the Good Witch of The South from The Wizard of Oz.
