Hubby found our first egg!

Well hubby went to put the geese to bed tonight and Karessa had laid an egg inside their house. I was sure she was going to lay today as she was poking around the dog house that's filled with hay, today. She seemed to be looking for a place. Well she found where she was comfortable enough....inside their night pen!!

I was sleeping and hubby came in and woke me up and asked me if I would come see something. I went into the kitchen and sitting on the stove was this gorgeous goose egg! (I'll take a pic of it in the morning)

YAY! We have our first egg!!

We now have 5 eggs in the incubator! Yay! I still only have one of my geese laying though. The others better get with the program! LOL

mine lay so infrequentley. I would have a hard time getting a batch for the incubator. I have three in there but they are not all due at the same time. I don't think they are any good anyway . Especially after tonight. I was doing the cool down for ten minutes and walked away.... (always a mistake at my age) and I FORGOT it. When I went back, it was 78 degrees... I am scared because my duck eggs were doing good.
