Hubby killed a snake yesterday!! What kind was it? pic added

Milk snake, Rat snake...all are King snakes....non venomous...have teeth and will bite but wont kill you. Good rodent controlers. There is what I know!

Endangered and protected...you are kidding right! I can take them in the moutains of E KY and tie them to a fallen log and push it a little....after they get bitten lets ask them if they want us to protect the nasty little thing. The powers to be reinterduced Eastern Diamond back rattlers to South East Ky...Clem and his buddies waited for the festivities to be done and all his friend have nice belts now!....Silliness!

Oh I have done it now....i'll be getting hate mail for sure!

Ok i finnaly got the pic loaded.

it is about 3 feet long.

dont tell me they are an anderged speices,

i do feel bad , hubby felt bad for killing it but it was trying to go at him and biting his boot, and it almost bite mt hen.

now thinking about it, my black cochin cockerel has been limping for 3 days now, i checked him and i dint see anything wrong, he walks as if it is in pain, like a person sprain there angles. now he is always and others always hang out in that area, could if have bite him?

Thats a copperhead, and you did the right thing to kill it. Where you find one though, theres usually another, and you need to kill it too.

ALL snakes will hiss and attack if they feel threatened.

Milk snake. Copperheads are more banded and more tan coloured than that. It was harmless but at least not illegal to harass.
