Hubby said no more chicks

I'm also in Eastern Ontario. Last week you could almost watch the snow melt away. But you can't fool me yet. I'm not putting away my winter gear.

My snow tires stay on til April! There's always one more big dump. I'm just outside of Ottawa, where are you?

South of Kemptville. What do you have in terms of critters. Between my daughter's place and mine, we share 1 dog, 7 cats, 5 horses, 10 ducks, 9 peacocks, and lost count of how many chickens.

Definitely not too far from us in Beckwith twp. We don’t have much for critters - 3 black labs, 2 black cats, 22 chicks currently residing in my basement and 2 crazy human boys - 12 & 10. We’ve raised a few cows for meat but not for several years. We have 240 acres and I’d love goats but hubby isn’t a fan so I’ll stick with the birds for now. We have a 2 acre pond so having more water birds may happen someday.

That would be a difficult decision for me, Magpie or Swedish Blue?
