The hamburg chicks are great and growing fast! Ill have to get some pics for you! My silkie hen went broody, so i have some wyandotte and hamburg eggs under her now..hopefully she'll stay broody!!

Hoping your hen stays broody, I'd love to see pics of those Wyandotte chicks peaking out from under her in a few weeks!

Does any know a local farm that would process chickens. I want the meat but I just can't think of killing anything.

I am looking for a mobile processor in the area...found one but they have not called back yet. Check with the local feed stores or craigslist.

Hope it was a nice weekend ! Short work week for me so the Sunday Night Anxiety isn't too bad tonight.
Going to see the Dave Matthews Band @ Bethel Woods Tuesday night. Yay!

Today is/was my b-day, so my weekend went well!!
Woke up this morning and checked on my rabbit babies, and a young black snake was in on of the coops ...it ate one of the newborns..so off with its head. I normaly will not kill a snake..but when it eats my animals, i will..the older bigger snakes dont bother the chickens or rabbits..we have an understanding lmao
So my morrning didnt start off to well..but after that the day went well besides all the rain!

that is one of my fears, finding a big black snake in one of the buildings on my property. I know they are around.

I almost finished my schedule of painting this weekend until the rain cut me off yesterday

Lisa, enjoy Bethel Woods. I'm working this week too (except Thurs) but it will be quiet, everyone is on vacation and I'll get a lot done.
