Good Evening Everybody~

15 eggs from 16 very, very muddy hens today. One of the freeloading EEs finally laid another blue egg.

DD #2 is moving into her first apartment this weekend so after we picked up the coffee table she bought from the Town of New Windsor Yard sale Facebook group, we stopped at Marshalls. A bad and very expensive idea.

Hey!

Where'd everybody go?!!!!?

Hello all,
Here are some pictures I took of my chickens not the best cause they don't like to hold still. At least it stopped raining. I'm not positive in some of the breeds and genders so if anyone wants to take a guess that would be great. Hope everyone is having a great Friday.

I'm not very good at ID'ing breeds but it looks like you have an australorp, some splash silkies, a barred rock, and maybe some white leghorns and Easter Eggers. Whatever they are, they're ALL beautiful !!! I love the beige one with brown markings. Where did you get them?

I bought some off breeders and some I ordered through Myers. I found out the beige one is a Basque, the big one. I have more I just couldn't get them all to hold still.

They're never cooperative. They either scatter all over the place or photo bomb you lol.

I've never heard of a Basque. Stunning! That one is going on my wish list which is rapidly growing.

I have a broody buff orpington. There's a bunch of eggs in the incubator due next Sunday and 3 chicks in the brooder. I really can't accommodate any more chicks but I feel bad discouraging her so I'll leave her alone. She taking this very seriously

I can't wait for one of mine to go broody. My JG, and my sex link never go broody. I'm hoping when my silkies get old enough and they turn out to be hens, I hope they go broody and hatch me some babies. I don't have a bator, wish I did, but DH might have a fit. I would be hatching all the time.

I read that silkies are good moms so you may get some chicks!
We're on our 2nd incubator hatch. It's totally addicting.

That's another reason I don't have one... I could see it now. My kids wouldn't have bedrooms and my husband would have to sleep in the garage.. I would have a house full of baby chicks! :jumpy

Is anyone else going to the chickenstock up in Rome on the 17th of this month? I've got the directions and their will be a lot of people from our area there. I don't know if anyone else has saw the ad for it, but there is going to be a Chinese auction, raffles, food, drinks and so much more. If anyone wants to go and doesn't have a ride maybe we can figure out a way to get you there. I'm driving and have room for a couple of people. Let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks all!
