I only breed purebred silkies. Not sure if you're interested in them. And also call ducks. :)
I'm sorry about your little scrambled baby. I had one chick that was extremely sticky. I mean it looked like the whole chick was as hard as glass. It took 3-4 days and the chick passed. The problem was that the chick had swallowed that sticky, amber substance while it was still in the egg. When I held up the chick to my ear I could hear a clicking noise in its lungs. I tried Everything but there was nothing that worked.

Hey everyone,
This thread gets so sparse some times. We all must be busy with winter prep!
I wanted to let anyone who was interested know that I don't currently have anything for sale.
My little flock is now just the two blue laced red wyandotte hens, two maran cross hens, one lovely little cream crested legbar hen, one silver Appenzeller spitzhauben hen and the adorable miss Cochin , she is brooding the too big to be brooded silkie cross legbar chicks (2) and hangs with the silver Welch harliquin duck.
As always I have my handy dandy incubator and can easily obtain eggs of the following breeds: silver Appenzeller spitzhauben, icelandic, bantam buff brahma, bantam amaraucana, black east indie ducks, and a few others. Check in with me if your interested in any of those and I will let you know when I'll get them. I might be getting a pair of black east indie ducks myself (currently my aunt keeps the breeding pens up in NH) and likely a drake for my silver Welch harliquin. If you're interested in any other breed I am willing to find the hatching eggs and incubate whatever there's a demand for.
So glad we had this chat;)
Kate

The cold weather is making me long for...Spring...and hatching!! What hatching eggs will people have available in the Spring? I live outside of Kingston and am looking for something...interesting!
