What a fun contest! The only way it would have been better would be to not have to use the Tag feature on Facebook. Any of the Facebook applications open your computer up to TPTB at Facebook every time you "Allow" one of their applications. Is there any other way we could enter the contest without having to be tagged on Facebook? I have known too many people who've had problems after using Facebook applications, and I Just won't do it (and don't understand why anyone does, as their phishing expeditions on people's computers are common knowledge).

Fortunately there aren't and "applications" involved, just the build in Facebook "picture tagging" which doesn't open up any "third party" tracking or anything else to be worried about (unless you just don't like being tagged in pictures).

So, to be clear: You don't have to "allow" and/or use any applications or otherwise "open up" anything by liking our FB page, uploading a picture, or tagging pictures.

Ok one last clarification:
Do I merely need to tag the others in the picture or do I need to tag them and then tell them they need to remember to "like" backyard chickens on Facebook as well? 'cause if I need to do that, I have to make myself a reminder to stay on 'em and not drop the ball so no one forgets...we NEED this coop big time.

We'd love for everyone to "like" our FB page, but it isn't a requirement. Just make sure peeps are properly tagged in the pictures (you'll know they are properly tagged when their names under the image are hyperlinks to their user profile).

This sounds like a great idea and a really cool contest however...

I have a problem with placing a photo of me on Facebook. (Whether public or private)

Other than that I would participate.

Also, if one doesnt' want their pic on Facebook...they could wear a mask, a clown nose, sunglasses, hold a chicken over their face...

Is there a way to search for certain BYC members in the Facebook group?? I started scrolling for them, but gave up after a few pages... 1500+ of us there, and not in order so it may take a while

How do I upload a picture to your facebook page? We took pictures today at our feed store but I can't figure out how to upload a picture to someone else's fb page. help! LOL
